Botswana Premier League (BPL) champions Township Rollers have announced that they have waived their goalkeeper Mwampule Masule.
The 26-year-old reportedly for attending trials at the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Highlands Park without authorisation.
The Lions of the North were said to have been impressed by Masule’s performance for Botswana at the 2018 COSAFA Cup held in South Africa.
Masule was suspended indefinitely and he was replaced in goal by Keagile Kgosipula ahead of Rollers’ 2018 CAF Champions League Group A clash with Egyptian giants Al Ahly in Gaborone earlier this month.
The Blues have since released the following statement regarding Masule:
A club statement read: “Township Rollers FC management have waived the suspension of our team goalkeeper Mwampule Masule and he is scheduled to resume training with immediate effect.”
Rollers are scheduled to face former Ugandan champions Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) in the Champions League Group A match at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala on Saturday.
